Studying abroad is an experience that can have lifelong effects on life; not only due the knowledge education offers, but through a foreign study experience you get to know another country, its people and culture. We are convinced that such experience has crucial importance in the evolution of the professional, intellectual and personal life of these ex-students and therefore these memories should not fall into oblivion.
Guided by these endeavours, the Hungarian Government cordially invites you, as a former international student of a Hungarian higher education institution to attend the first International Alumni Meeting taking place in Budapest on the 27th-28th of October 2016. The International Alumni Meeting is open to alumni who attended or graduated from a Hungarian higher education institution in the past decades. This unique event will be an excellent opportunity for you to reconnect with Hungary, and with your former institution of higher learning, as well as to meet with former international students of the Hungarian higher education system from all over the world.
We would like to organize a programme aimed at creating a community of alumni, by strengthening your bonds towards Hungary and by offering a forum for networking, enabling you to get to know each other. During the event you would be given the opportunity to discuss your stories on to what extent your studies in Hungary contributed to your career in parallel sections of panel discussions. The two-day event would also give you an insight into the key priorities, challenges and achievements of the Hungarian higher education sector. The International Alumni Meeting would also serve as an excellent forum of building contacts with Hungarian experts and professionals from the economic, scientific, cultural and political life. We kindly invite you to benefit from this excellent opportunity and (re)connect yourself with your Hungarian ties.
We are sincerely looking forward to welcoming you back in Hungary at the reunion of the class of Hungary!
